BUD — beyond use date

The date, or hour and the date, after which a compounded preparation must not be used, stored, or transported. The date is determined from the date and time the preparation is compounded. PCCA’s propriety anhydrous formulations provide for longer potential BUDs compared to aqueous formulations, providing more convenience for patients and greater efficiencies for compounding pharmacies.
