All pharmacies that purchase and onboard to eLearning with at least 4 user licenses, for a 12-month period, qualify for the no implementation fee Smart Start Sale savings. At the start of your eLearning contract purchased under these terms, you would only pay the first month cost of each eLearning license you purchased for your pharmacy team. Each license seat would then continue to be billed monthly for the remainder of your eLearning contract.

Canceling any of the four eLearning licenses before the close of the 12-month user period will result in a charge of the full implementation fee.

No. In an eLearning demo meeting, you will receive an overview of the features, benefits and cost of bringing the PCCA eLearning Compounding Training & Learning Management System to your pharmacy. Plus, you will see the learner experience and reporting dashboard that your team and designated person will use to track progress.

In an eLearning onboarding, the PCCA Education team will guide you through the setup of your actual eLearning pharmacy account and space. In this meeting, you will complete the details of your pharmacy’s eLearning contract, including who will act as your pharmacy’s team leader or designated person(s) and how many eLearning licenses you’d like for your compounding pharmacy.

USP 795 and 800 became enforceable on November 1, 2023. Staff will now need to perform training and competencies annually. As an eLearning user, you have access to your eLearning trainings for the life of your license. After you initially complete your training courses, you can always review the content as needed.

There are 22 courses total; 19 have one hour of content each, one course has two hours of content, and two courses are about 30 minutes each.

 

There is no limit. You could even take advantage of a discount on each license if your pharmacy purchases 10 or more licenses.

USP Standards indicate that the following persons must complete training:

  • Everyone in the pharmacy who is involved in any part of the compounding prescription process
  • Anyone in the pharmacy who verifies completed compounds
  • Any staff member who is involved with component selection

An eLearning Compounding Training license will provide these staff members with the trainings and record keeping required.

Team leaders will have access to a comprehensive team leader onboarding course with videos and a printable resource guide.

Learners will have access to a comprehensive learner onboarding course and a printable resource guide.

Plus, the designated person(s) and owner will have two live virtual meeting onboarding sessions. If any additional questions remain after the live sessions, you can request quotes for additional custom support and reporting.

Yes, 20 hours of CE are available through eLearning Compounding Training & Learning Management System. ACPE requirements allow CE to be claimed once every three years.

Yes! The courses are written to standards and best practices. When a course is updated, learners will automatically receive an alert.

Yes. PCCA will train your team leader(s) to make custom courses for tracking competencies as well as your facility's SOPs. For competency assessments, you have access to best practice templates and team leader eSignature capabilities.

No, the team leader will be provided access to a Competency Library containing competency template documents. The team leader can use these documents and customize them to meet their pharmacy needs.

Since each facility’s SOPs are unique, standardized SOPs are not included. The online education team will assist you in the uploading of your facilities SOPs as a custom course.

Yes. While we provide you with high-quality content in the 22 interactive, multimedia eLearning Compounding Training courses available within the license, you can also create your own courses for competency and SOP completion as well.

Pharmacy staff members must each have their own unique license to maintain an accurate completion history that is reportable to regulators. Pharmacy staff members cannot share a login unless the staff members are student interns using the license for learning purposes.

Yes, a license can be set up as a student intern license with an email that can be shared amongst student interns from semester to semester since they do not need training documentation.

You can use a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile device to complete eLearning coursework. Learners can use a mobile app for learning on the go.

Yes, any licensed member will have continuous access to the training and can review courses as many times as needed. Plus, the system will record each time a user completes a course.

You can take the exams an unlimited number of times. The system will record each time a user attempts an exam.

At a minimum, the designated person(s) or team leader(s) should attend the onboarding session. However, anyone who would like to join is welcome.

Staff need to have competencies assessed once each year. The custom courses and eSignatures built into the eLearning Compounding Training will assist your team leader in having reportable completion of the competencies by staff.
