- An online learning program in foundational compounding and therapeutic information within compounding pharmacy specialties.
- Learn foundational clinical concepts and therapeutics in veterinary compounding
- Understand how to gain a competitive advantage by using unique vehicles
- Learn the benefits of using one dosage form/vehicle over another
- Learn how to develop your veterinary business and market niche through a veterinary consultation business model
Note: C4 does not consist of recordings from PCCA symposiums. C4 content is self-directed learning in an online platform with 24/7 access to written content, slides, documents and voice-over education.

A Veterinary Compounding Specialist designation* will be awarded to pharmacists who complete the following process:
- Complete the online course within the specified time frame.
- Achieve a passing score of 70% or greater on all content.
- Then register for and attend the Veterinary Symposium, April 19-20, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. (additional event fee applies)
- This designation provides you with a competitive advantage, a source of marketing, and a resource for patients and prescribers who are seeking a specialized compounding pharmacist.
- Specialists will receive a marketing kit with tools to help you self-promote your new academic designation among patients and peers.
- NOTE: Becoming a specialist is completely optional. Attendees may choose to participate in online content only.
* Only pharmacists are eligible for the specialist designation.
Learning Objectives
- Review anatomy and physiology of different species including: canine, feline, equine, rabbit, avian, ferret and pocket pets
- Discuss unique and various dosage forms for different species
- Explain toxicities relevant to each species
- Describe common disease states related to species
- Explain appropriate treatment options and dosing
